UK Air Guitar Champion 2010 is Eddie Six Strings

After a very eventful night at the Relentless Garage in Islington we had a great final. The regulars turned out try again but it was a newbie to air guitar that took the rock hand trophy.

Eddie Six Strings won the South England heat of the championships and booked her place into the final 8, she battled against mystro, The Barber Dodger and Juan Nightstand at the very end. Despite the new technology in the show the infamous 'cheer'o'meter' the audience's reaction at the end of the final performance was overwhelming and we had a clear winner!

Eddie Six Strings is the first ever female UK Air Guitar Champion and may there be many more...

We thank all of you who took part all over the country and hope to see you in next years heats, meanwhile watch this space for loads of videos and pics!

Wales Air Guitar Champion 2010 is Duffy!

The man had skill and determination, he booked his place in the London Final and i feel this man will be a strong contenter for the championships. An amazing beer trick helped him but his performance was faultless.

Runner up was last years finalist Twanga Joe who made a big effort to come and compete for the Welsh title. As Twanga is already qualified for the final this summer we have given the next spot to Lady Murkin, an air duo, rough diamonds ready to be perfected...

The Coming Year

This year has just started and as it stands the call for rock music in society seems to be dwindling. New electronic and pop talents such as La Roux and Florence and the machine have been making people tap their feet steadily for the last year, but thats it. Feet tapping didn't bring down the Berlin Wall, nor did it help us raise money for the 3rd world or even trigger a spate of hotel T.V's getting thrown out of windows. So, I urge the world to go back to what we all know and love, it starts with putting down the hair brush microphone and picking up your air guitar, turn some rock up to 11 and thrash out some riffs, just the way the Gods intended. Amen.
